Arrio

For Enterprises

Where does the money go, and what does it return?

Every enterprise leadership team eventually asks what its software development actually produces. Almost none can answer with more than a status report. Arrio gives you an independent answer, for every team, division and vendor, and for the AI investment layered on top of them.

The problem

Software development has never been harder to govern, and it is about to get harder.

AI has made software faster and cheaper to produce, and far harder to understand. A developer can now generate in an afternoon what used to take a week, and the old measures, story points, tickets, hours, were built for a world where effort and output moved together. They no longer do.

This is the productivity paradox: more is being produced than ever, and leadership can account for less of it than ever. The gap between what your organisation ships and what you can actually see widens every quarter, and it compounds.

Running an AI transformation without an independent measure of where you are is governing blind. What enterprises need now is not another engineering dashboard, but a new instrument of governance: one that reads the work itself and tells leadership, in business terms, what it is worth.

That is what Arrio does. With you, and with the partners who help you act on it.

What Arrio does

Arrio reads the work itself, and grounds it in what the work costs.

In your organisation's codebases, with no interviews, no self-reporting and no vendor telemetry. So instead of answers crawling up the hierarchy, filtered at every layer, leadership asks once and gets the answer across the whole organisation, now.

The usual wayAnswers crawl up the hierarchy, weeks later, filtered at every layer.
With ArrioLeadership asks once. The answer comes back across the whole organisation, now.

Who it's for

Built for the people who own the budget and answer for the outcome.

CEO / Board

Navigate the AI transformation with certainty.

An independent, board-ready read on whether the AI bet is actually working, and where you stand against best-in-class. Not conviction, evidence.

Where it earns its placeAI-transformation oversight, competitive positioning, and the technology view in M&A.

CFO

See exactly what your software development produces.

The largest and least legible line you sign off, made as readable as the rest of the books: value per cost, vendor by vendor, team by team.

Where it earns its placeBudget defence, vendor renegotiation and procurement, and the business case for the AI spend.

For the CFO →

CIO / CDO

An objective baseline for every technology decision.

Programmes, platforms and vendors on one independent measure, before and after each call you make.

Where it earns its placePortfolio rationalisation, delivery assurance, and getting ahead of security, architecture and technical-debt risk.

For the CIO and CDO →

Procurement

Audit vendor output with independent data.

An independent measure of what every vendor and external team actually produces, against what they charge.

Where it earns its placeVendor accountability, renegotiation and renewal, and insourcing decisions made from evidence.

M&A / Corporate development

Know what the code is worth before you sign.

Code-level diligence on a target, and a baseline the day the deal closes.

Where it earns its placeTechnical due diligence, post-merger integration, and ongoing oversight of what you acquired.

Technical due diligence →

CTO / VP Engineering

Evidence for the conversations you are already having.

Architecture, security and technical-debt findings you can verify against your own repositories, and a budget case your board will believe. A measure of the work, never the worker.

Where it earns its placeModernisation business cases, risk reduction, and proving delivery quality to the people who fund it.

Use cases

Six questions, answered from the work itself

01Where does the money go?

What you get

Effort and cost mapped across every team, division and vendor, on one independent measure.

The outcome

Teeth in the investment case. Budget conversations that start from what is true.

02Is the AI investment working?

What you get

The AI-built share of your work, measured against what it delivers, tracked over time.

The outcome

Spread what works, stop what does not, and report the AI journey to the board with a straight face.

03Is the strategy actually shipping?

What you get

Programmes and projects read against real progress, not status reports.

The outcome

Course corrections made in weeks, not discovered at year end.

04What do our vendors actually produce?

What you get

Every vendor and external team on the same independent scale, against what they charge.

The outcome

Renegotiations, renewals and insourcing decisions made from evidence.

05What is the real state of our code?

What you get

Technical-debt load, quality profile and health indicators, read from the work itself.

The outcome

The unknowns on the table before they price themselves in.

06Where are the risks we cannot see?

What you get

On-demand agent reviews across security, architecture and technical debt, read-only and audit-trailed.

The outcome

Deep answers in days, drawn from the code as it stands, not a workshop.

How to get started

A frictionless, secure first step

Getting started is deliberately easy, and deliberately safe. No workshops, no interviews, no disruption to delivery. A single point of contact, an agreed scope, read-only access, and within days a picture of your own organisation you have never had before.

  1. 01

    A briefing and a scope.

Thirty minutes with a founder, then a scope agreed with a single point of contact. No workshops, no interviews.

  2. 02

    Read-only access.

You grant read-only access to the repositories in scope, set up to suit your security posture, including inside your own cloud.

  3. 03

    The first reading.

Lands within days, with history included, so the picture arrives with a trend already in it.

  4. 04

Two deep dives, then your call.

Into the questions you choose, presented as findings your board can act on. You decide whether the reading becomes standing.

How the work gets done

You get the insight. Your partners help you realise it.

Arrio is independent by design. We provide the measurement and the direction, structured and complete. We do not take over the delivery, because the distance is what makes the answer trustworthy.

Realising the value, the change the findings call for, is hard to do alone, and it is where our partners come in. From the very first proof of concept we can bring a partner in and train them on your engagement, so the people helping you act on the insight understand it as deeply as we do.

FAQ

The questions worth asking

Ask us anything about what we would read, what leadership gets back, or how the access works in your environment.

Where does our code go?

That depends on how we set it up with you. Arrio runs multi-tenant in the cloud with read-only access, and it can also run inside your own cloud so nothing leaves your environment. Either way it is built to be safe by design. The current detail lives at docs.arrio.ai.

Do you store our source code?

No. Arrio is built to measure without holding on to your code: what you keep is the measurement, not the source. Exactly how that works depends on your setup, documented at docs.arrio.ai.

Which AI models do you use?

Your choice. Arrio is model-agnostic and supports all the main providers. Regulated organisations can bring their own model and key, so nothing leaves their approved estate.

Is this another engineering dashboard?

No. Dashboards report activity to engineering managers. Arrio measures what the investment produces and reports it to the people who own the budget, in business language.

We already have DORA and engineering metrics. Why this?

Keep them; they are useful for how teams run. They measure activity and flow. They cannot tell you what the spend produced, what better would be worth, or whether the AI investment is paying off. That is the layer Arrio adds, and it is independent.

How fast is the first insight?

Days. The first reading includes history, so the picture arrives with a trend already in it, not a snapshot that needs a year to mean something.

What does a proof of concept involve from our side?

Very little. A single point of contact, agreement on scope, and read-only access. No workshops, no interviews, no time taken from your delivery teams.

How do partners fit in?

Findings become change through people. The deep dives and the work that follows can be delivered by one of our partners or by your own team, trained on the engagement. Arrio defines and verifies the method either way.

What does it cost?

We do not publish pricing. What an engagement costs depends on what you need from it, so the useful answer comes from a conversation rather than a page. If you would like to know more about our pricing and services, speak to our founders. Speak to our founders →

Does this work outside the technology sector?

Yes. Any organisation with significant software development, in-house or outsourced, can be read: industrials, financial services, energy, the public sector. If software is a major line in your budget, the question applies.
